Inspiring Holiday Storytelling with Elaine Charles at Persephone Healing Arts Center
Elaine Charles
Persephone Healing Arts Center will host a special holiday storytelling event from 4:30 to 6 p.m., on November 22, 2024, featuring Elaine Charles, a beloved art teacher, educator and storyteller with decades of experience in the community. Drawing inspiration from the Waldorf School philosophy, Charles has infused art and fantasy into her teachings, fostering imagination and ethical development in children and adults alike.
This storytelling evening promises an enriching experience for all ages, with narratives that blend beautiful imagery and timeless wisdom. Charles, known for her passionate approach, explains that storytelling, when done right, “becomes a soul force that helps us solve and survive difficult life circumstances.” Her approach is rooted in the belief that a nourishing childhood lays the foundation for a fulfilling life, a message that resonates deeply as the holiday season approaches.
Dr. A. Schaeffer-Pautz, M.D., integrative medical doctor and host at Persephone Healing Arts Center, shares enthusiasm for the event, saying, “We are thrilled to provide a space where stories can nurture the soul and guide us, much like meditation, through life’s challenges.”
