Spiritual Uplifts Metaphysical Store, in Orange Park, is throwing a party from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 20, 2021, in celebration of their 10th anniversary. The first 30 people will receive tansy dust as they walk in the door. There will be discounts on items and future services, as well as free mini classes, such as a palm reading class, from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; a crystal class, from 2:30 to 3 p.m.; and a candle magic class, from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Attendees will also have the opportunity to make their own mojo bags, aura paintings, and magic mandalas. The cost for all three activities will be $10.

“Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see everyone at our anniversary party in March,” says Spiritual Uplifts owner Lynn Pritchard, who has studied metaphysics since 1990; has read tarot cards professionally for more than 30 years; and is a reiki master, coach and minister.

“Ten years ago, the dream was to have a place like my friend’s store in Cranston, Rhode Island. When I needed some peace, I would drive over to the White Light bookstore. As soon as I walked through the door, I could smell the fresh scent of sandalwood and feel the crystals’ high vibrational frequency. I would look up and see my friend smiling at me. She was always ready to listen with no judgment. The store was my break away from the real world,” recounts Pritchard.

“Ten years ago, when I could not find anything like that here in Florida, I decided to open my store,” continues Pritchard. “I wanted to create the same place so others could have the same experience I did. Spiritual Uplifts is an old-fashioned-style metaphysical store; it’s neither commercial nor over-the-top novelty. It is a place of peace where like-minded people can find family and guidance. We have workshops to help connect with inner peace, fun metaphysical classes, an aura camera, and a crystal bed. Our retail is loaded with rare crystals, books, candles, essential oils and herbs. Our services are spiritual readings, healings, and numerology readings. We do astrology reports as well. After April, you will notice we will be offering more services with different healers, and soon students.”

Pritchard continues: “Over the years, I have helped many people get closer while grieving over deceased loved ones. I have guided people on their spiritual journey just by being here. There is no such thing as one thing fixes it all. We all must go through our lessons and learn to cope well with life’s inevitable ups and downs. So, we are here to support our customers and clients with no judgment. Our job is when you walk through that door to make it an awakening experience.”

Those planning on attending the anniversary party can rest assured that COVID-19 regulations will be followed. Everyone must wear a mask (masks will be provided for those that don’t have one); most of the free classes will be outside; only so many people will be allowed in the building at the same time; attendees are asked to book appointments for services; and there are two registers, so there will be no long lines to check out. “We hope everyone understands we are just trying to keep everyone safe,” shares Pritchard.
