Keep Pushing Toward Total Wellness

Tina Kozman, nutrition
practitioner, holds
a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Science degree and has extensive
nutrition certifications under her belt. She shares,
“About 15 years ago, my health took an unexpected turn and started on a
downhill spiral. I was so determined to find answers and regain control over my
well-being that I embarked on a journey. Addressing my diet and incorporating
essential supplements had the biggest impact on my well-being and I experienced
a transformation. This life-changing experience illuminated the pivotal role of
food and nutrition for me.”
Fueled
by her newfound passion, she decided to pursue a career in nutrition to share
this life-altering knowledge with others. Tina shares her motivation: “I wanted
to bring that same knowledge and relief to others who were in the same boat as
I once was.”
An innate desire to assist others on
their journey to health is rooted in her upbringing. Growing up with her
grandmother’s nurturing presence while her parents worked, she cherished those
moments. Early on, she knew she wanted to dedicate her life to helping people,
particularly when it came to their health and well-being. Kozman says her
unique ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, varied
educations and a range of interests has allowed her to build meaningful
relationships. These relationships are the cornerstone of her work, enabling
her to understand her clients on a profound level.
Kozman collaborates with physicians who recognize
the immense impact of nutrition on their patients’ health and well-being. She
helps demystify the complex world of nutrition, guiding clients on what to eat,
when, and in what combinations. She provides insights on the best supplements,
sleep optimization techniques and the most effective exercises. Her clientele
encompasses individuals facing challenges such as weight issues, high body fat,
thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalances, persistent fatigue and digestive
discomfort. Notably, Tina specializes in supporting women navigating the
transformative phases of pre-menopause, menopause and post-menopause.
“I also see clients who have digestive
upsets like feeling bloated after eating, not regular with their bowel
movements, or have a sluggish metabolism. Most have a combination of these
symptoms,” advises Kozman. “Some believe that they eat well, but are still not
at their goal weight or are noticing that they are gaining weight even though
their lifestyle or food intake hasn’t changed. That’s where we start digging
into the hormones and the roles they are playing for that individual.”
Kozman
says that “for many, the overwhelming influx of health information and the
plethora of fad diets can lead to confusion and frustration.” Kozman offers a
beacon of hope and clarity. As a dedicated nutrition practitioner, she
simplifies the complex and creates plans that help support her clientele’s
health goals.
Her recommendation is clear: “Find a support
system: a nutrition practitioner, like myself, who can help cut through the
noise of fad diets and endless health information. Seek a primary care provider
who listens and offers comprehensive testing. Engage with a physical trainer or
therapist for holistic support. Remember, each member plays a vital role, but
ultimately, you are your best advocate. Keep pushing until you get to where you
want to be.”
